I've been buying books at antique shops, flea markets, auctions and even at bookstores my entire life- and have decided to let others share them. During the last three decades, I have traveled a twisting road, with several different careers, as an engineering draftsman and technician, woodworker, electronics technician... but always along the way, an artist.
Growing up, I had never considered pottery as a medium... I simply wasn't exposed to much handmade work except a few dark colored crocks our family had... Many years later, upon receiving a beautiful stoneware vase as a birthday present, I looked at it with a new appreciation and said "I can do this"... A few months later I had enrolled in the Fine Arts & Ceramics program at West Virginia University...
